yeah, i'll read them too, that was great! and i think we really just oversimplify it, but then again, we, humans, simplify reality to make it understandable as a concept. i know that if we had been born in a society where bisexuality, homosexuality and heterosexuality were at the same status, we ALL would see it like a normal and usual thing, a lot of problems and differences would have been solved a long time ago but we would just invent something to fight over, like the other major problems: religion, skin color, culture and traditions, etc...i think you just love a person, as a person it doesn't matter anything else. or does it? ~.^

*thumbs up* All right! You rock! Congrats!
Everyone being bi? I can believe that.
If you were blind... if everyone was blind their whole lives. No one could tell the difference between male and female. So... if you found someone and you fell in love with them, then you found out that they were of the same gender... what would you do? As someone said, it shouldn't matter whether they are male or female. What matters is the love, right?
That was really stupid. Forgive me!
I have no problem with gay people, by the way. I'm in total support of gay rights. Hopefully that isn't offending, it's not meant to be.
But if only more people would accept love between two of the same gender.

I think it's wrong that God sent Jesus to die for us. It also doesn't seem to be making the world a better place. No offense meant. Really... But I, on the other hand... am an ATHEIST and proud of it.
Why is it so bad to love someone of the same gender? Honestly... *shakes head* People just aren't so accepting. And that makes us stupid. Humans are stupid. We're greedy, selfish, and lots of other bad stuff. We ruin the environment for our own gain. *rants for awhile* If it bothers you, then just don't talk about the subject, right? Who cares who's gay or not? Wow, that was way off topic. Sort of.

No offense taken ^_^. Like I said I have many problems with religion myself so I?m not in much of an opinion to criticize others of no faith. I can disagree but not criticize.
I agree that humans are mostly greedy, selfish, and stupid... but humans are also beautiful, caring, and loving... it just depends on the times and the person.

ack.. the religion issue. ==; i get pissed off when my (religious) family suddenly starts talking about things like this... and i'm too afraid to speak up and say something in defence because i know it'd lead to some screwy talk in which they try to pump their beliefs into my head... i'm not an atheist or anything, i just have problems. ==; and i dont think i agree enough with christians to say that i am one either.
that reminds me of the time i was staying with my aunt in australia, when i asked to use the internet, and right next to the computer was this long leaflet from their church saying... well.. you know, the usual. -_-; i got pissed off and just stashed the leaflet behind the computer. i ended up at a gravitation website in retaliation.. i wonder if they check their history. *laughs*
I read a quote from somewhere.. "the least humane thing to do is to be human" *sighs*... ==
I'm off topic. *kills self*

BEWARE: lost post...
?and maybe it /is/ oversimplifying, what we said, since it just seems so very convenient to just say it and be done... ._.?
humans look for a simple answer to everything... (not to say that what Lady Elanor is wrong by any mean. I somewhat agree, but think it depends mostly on what type of brainwashing you had when you were younger XD) it?s just in our nature to solve all our problems with almost one word answers with a million possible meanings that we totally ignore... like say mortality = God (ever lasting life) or the gay issue = ?you are or you aren?t? what really pisses me off about the world today is how ?black and white? everything is. It?s either right or it?s wrong, you?re going to hell or you?re not, you?re gay or you?re not... *eye starts to twitch right before Ayska?s head explodes* sorry can you tell I have touched this issue with others?
A lot of people just can?t grasp the fact that someone might actually love someone of the same gender. I was in Milwaukee a while back and you know how they have those religious people that stand on the street corner preaching the word of God? Yeah well a couple friends and I were waiting to cross the street and this guys is like ?praise God! He sent his only son to die for us and our sins so we could be saved from the fires of Hell!? well I managed to ignore him til he got another part of his sermon saying ?we need more GOOD Christians to fight abortion and gays? ........... I was very close to killin me a Christian that night. (don?t get me wrong I?m somewhat religious but I hate the people that push and won?t listen to any argument you might bring up. Doesn?t matter if it?s the most logical thing ever, it?s not what God wants cuz the bible says so...) I just turned to him and said ?what have homosexuals ever done to you or God for that matter? I thought Jesus died cuz he loved us? Didn?t he do that cuz he loved us ALL?? he just kinda blinked and said a whole bunch of crap about how it?s in the bible and blah blah blah. I was already late for my thing so I just left without another word. Figured a person like that would be a waste of breath, not that it would make much difference...
Little off topic from social sexuality but the religious aspect is fun to argue >_> -ish...
I think I?m going to have a conversation with my pastor about it. If I don?t scare him to death with a question on homosexuality I think it would make for an interesting conversation ^_^

I didn't respond to this topic before because I tend to get really angry over this stuff, but now that we've got religion tossed into the mix I just can't resist saying something. PLease stand by for my tirade XD
Everyone being bi? I can see how someone might think that, and that the people we live with and around influence what orientation we lean towards. But then I think about people who are raised in cities in the Bible Belt or anywhere else where religion is pumped into you since before you were born, and since they had that sort of influence how could they have turned gay? While I admit that social aspects can have influences on the way people act, I like to think that whether you're heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, it goes deeper than just being affected by society's ways. Some people say that gays CHOOSE to be that way, but come on...you dont choose the people that you fall in love with. It's just something that happens. I believe that I was born loving the men of this world, and that it was easy for me to realize that because that's what society expects from me and they weren't holding rallies against it or killing people over it. Women with men. Men with women. But society's views on homosexuals and bisexuals tells them that their wrong. SO how are kids supposed to accept their feelings and who they are when we've got all these people telling them that their wrong and that their going to hell.
(Oh, and looks like I'm going to be adding a political aspect into this rant as well...Religion, sexuality, and politics...am I missing anything else controversial?)
That's why I got so damned pissed when Bush wanted to put into the freakin CONSTITUTION that marriage is a union between a man and a woman. That's NOT what the consitution is FOR. Its not a platform for his religious beliefs! It's not Bush's place in this world so say what marriage IS and what it ISNT. And it sure as hell doesn't need to be in the freaking Constituion. And another thing that he said is something like "I dont believe in Stem Cell research because it goes against God."
OK, buddy...you can have your religious beliefs...but if you woke up one night and you thought you had a vision from God to push that red button and nuke half of the planet...WOULD YOU?!?! It scares me to hear him say stuff like that.
Oh my goodness, I'm going to stop talking about Bush before every other words turns into profanity.
Oh yeah...religion...Jesus dying for our sins and all that...that all depends if you believe he was REALLY the son of God. My personal beliefs aren't really confined to one religion...I believe that there is a Divine Creator and that he just appears to everyone in different forms. I'm really oversimplifying my beliefs but after that Bush rant, I don't have the energy to go in depth.
But I also believe that as generations go by people are loosing their prejudices, and that as the human race we've come a bit of ways in accepting people who are different (well..MOST of us anyways )
Anyways, feel free to agree or disagree...I jsut couldn't resist putting in my two cents.

Yes!!! Go Carole Ann!!! I totally agree!! (Didn?t bring up the politics behind it cuz I thought it would be too much. I also get very passionate about these topics? but ah well XD)
Bush IS trying to put his personal beliefs in the constitution. Which is why it?s useless to argue with religious peeps cuz they ?have a lot of religious liberties at stake? (comment by a 13 yr/old kid on 620 WTMJ) These people don?t care that they?re pushing their beliefs on the rest of the nation because they?re trying to convert it ANYWAYS!!!!
Comment by Bush ?I never want to impose my religion on someone else.?
Another comments by Bush ?The hands of God are guiding the affairs of this Nation.?
Okay at the point of the last comment he was indirectly imposing his beliefs on the entire nation? so which is it? Not hard to figure out. *eye twitches*
And no one really knows where exactly Bush stands on steam cell research cuz he said it was ok to kill one group of embryos but not any others? so it?s ok for research for now but you can?t make any more because THAT would be unethical?. *scratches head and shrugs*
(diff topic) My best friends brother is gay and was raised in a very strict catholic surrounding. His mom had the hardest time since she?s the most religious of the bunch but she now even talks to his partner. I think if we want to go into the ?is it upbringing or is it totally physical/biological? we have to look into psychology, where they?ve been asking that question for a millennia. YAAAYYYYY!!! RESEARCH!!! XD

politics........ *spazes convusively*
Bush-evil
Kerry-better but still evil
I usually dont talk about politics outside (meaning in public spaces) because i wind up frustrated with everyone. Not just at republicans, but at democrates too. I find that when i am talking with humans outside im talking to a bunch of people who dont really know what they're talking about. *im not refering to anyone here though, the internet is safe ground for discussion.* i'll see some of my friends with the "rock against bush" stickers on their messanger bags and ill think, oh, maybe i can talk to these people, but NOOOOOOO. "What do you think of president bush?" "HES STUPID!" "OK, why is he stupid?" "ummmmmmmm........HE HATES THE ENVIORNMENT!" "Ok, how does he hate the enviornmemt *becoming frustrated*?" "ummmmmmmmm..........HE HATES TREES!"
can anyone relate?
Not only that, but when i try to talk to republicans or any of my conservative friends its like trying to walk through a brick wall. i usually end up:
a) shouting
b) needing to be restrained
c) or taking a serious break from the outside world
i think that the only way to preserve my sanity this election year is to hole up in my house and just come out to vote. oh yeah, food might be nice too.
diff topic-I watched the end of wolf's rain on cartoon network last saturday, and ended up as both the a, b, and c above. GDI! CRAPPY ENDING! CRAPPY ENDING! SOMEONE KILL ME!
